How to use this plugin

Once you install and enable this plugin, you will be able to use a set of new [IF] conditional tags inside your email templates.

Each condition tag is composed of 3 parts: Type, Operand and value.

The condition tag itself has a set of operands you can use in order to create the needed condition (See detailed table bellow)

If the condition fails (for example different order status), the whole [IF]...[ENDIF] tag will be removed and not be displayed in the email.

Note: Nested [IF] tags are not allowed.

Customers who uses this plugin along with InteraMinds' VM Emails Manager, should see a new set of advanced tags on the right side of each email template. In order to use the new tags, just cpoy/paste or just use any of the smart [IF] tags inside your current HTML emails. Then, you can send few test emails for different orders to see how your conditions work in different situations.

If you are using the FREE InteraMind Order Followup Plugin (increase customer retention and sales), just use the following new tags in your HTML email template (standard Joomla! article used as template).

The nice thing is that you can use all other standard tags inside the the [IF] condition including Dynamic Coupons.

Advanced marketing strategy usage and more examples

Example 1 - Offer a coupon code if customer has more than 5 orders:

This marketing strategy will help you keep in touch and motivate your best customers to re-purchase. Imagine how surprising and powerful can be a personal message to your custumer saying you appreciate him/her and want to show your personal appreciation with a some discount... Believe me, your customers will love it!

Example 2 - Cross Sell - offer product A if the order contains product B:

This marketing strategy is based on the successful "Cross selling" method. Cross-sell is a marketing term for the practice of suggesting related products or services to a customer who is considering buying something. If you're buying a book on, for example, you may be shown a list of books similar to the one you've chosen or books purchased by other customers that bought the same book you did.
